illy has created a coffee using single-origin Arabica beans from Guatemala.
This type of Guatemalan coffee has a characteristic acidity and distinctive chocolate notes. The beans are cultivated in mountainous areas at altitudes of up to 2,000 metres, where the combination of the cool temperatures in the mountains and warmer breezes from Mexico, together with the mineral-rich mountain soil, creates optimal conditions for growing coffee.
The result of these excellent geographical conditions are clear to taste in this blend, producing a coffee with an intense aroma and characteristic sweetness, combined with lovely chocolate notes.
